A Look Back: AART Event Planning Loves Babies

For our first look back of a prior event for this month, we go back to a very cute sailor themed baby shower. Ships ahoy and enjoy!!

AART Event Planning Loves Babies!!

Besides planning events, babies and families are what we hold close to our hearts. So when we helped this beautiful couple with their baby shower, we couldn't be happier!

The mom to be knew what she was having, a sweet little boy, so a sailor theme was a must! Blue, red and white where the main colors with yellow used to pop the floral arrangements. This party was all about the details from the sailboat invitations, to the life preserver menu cards and sailboat on the cake. Personal touches were also added with pregnancy pictures of the glowing first time mom.

We wish the first time parents all the wonderful blessings that come with parenthood....and here's to getting some sleep!

There's a New Party in Town...A Cake Reveal Party!!!

Nothing makes us happier than when we see those happy faces on our clients. And when they come back to us to plan even more special events in their lives, we feel like apart of their family! And that was exactly how we felt last Friday.

We first helped plan Mike and Jess's beautiful wedding 3 years ago (their anniversary is coming up soon!) and we were honored when we were hired to plan the couple's baby shower. When we heard that she was expecting their 2nd child, we couldn't be more thrilled. Since a second baby shower is usually uncustomary, we had to be creative. And Jess knew exactly what she wanted!

When Mike and Jess went for that telling ultrasound on a Wednesday, they told the technician, who happened to be a friend, about the cake reveal party. It was then that the plans went into motion. The technician called our dear friend of Hey Sweet Cakes and revealed the baby's gender. So now they were the only people who held this valuable information. Mike and Jess did not know. Family did not know. WE did not know!! This exciting news would soon be revealed to us all that Friday. 

 The Cake Reveal Party was held in the comfort of Mike's parents home. This was going to be so exciting!! Mike and Jess invited their immediate family. The food was cooked by them and it was yummy! When dinner was over, it was time for dessert....chocolate covered strawberries and the cake! And what an adorable cake it was! Of course there was no doubt that the very talented Tippy from Hey Sweet Cakes would do an amazing job. See for your self : )

So it came to that time. Mike and Jess cut into the cake. And.....It's.....A.....

Well, now we couldn't just tell you that could we!!?? You will just have to watch the video for yourself. But believe me, the excitement when everyone finds out is worth the wait!! Just be aware, there may be some explicit language lol. 

What did you think? Amazing right! We get the chills every time we watch it, and yes we are still watching it even today!!

Work of AART Event: Teresa's Baby Shower

What is not to love about babies. They are so cute and those tiny little clothes! That's why we always have a great time designing and planning a baby shower.

Teresa's mother and sister in law hired us and new from the beginning that they didn't want the traditional themed baby shower. They wanted elegant and sophisticated. Think bridal shower with a baby twist : )

The invitation started it all. Rachael designed an invite with a light pink damask, since 1) Teresa new she is having a girl and 2) you know how much we love damask! Accented with a light green ribbon and beautiful pearl embellishment, the invitation was just elegantly gorgeous!

The event was held at Varka Restaurant in Ramsey and boy did the food smell delicious at 11am! With the standard white restaurant linens, we went with a white orchid plant in a pink vase. The vase added a great color choice to the table and the pearl embellishment on it went perfectly with the invitation. With a couple added orchids next to it and the table looked stunning. And for another added touch, we accented Teresa's chair with a white chair cover, pink sash and a couple orchids.

As we put the guests gifts in one corner, they were able to put their wishing well gifts in a wicker baby carriage that was anchored next to the beautiful cake. How adorable is that baby under a blanket on top!

When the party was over, each guest walked away with adorable "World's Gratest Mom" cheese grater from Best Baby Shower.com. How cute are they!

We hope Teresa enjoyed her shower and cannot wait to see her little princess when she arrives : )
