AART Events & Design Website Revamped!

We are so excited to finally announce the revamping of our website! We have been working on this night and day for months and months and months!! It is so exciting to finally show it off! (Can you tell how excited we are with all the exclamation points lol)

While our colors are still the same, we love it so much we didn't want that to change, each page has been given a slight makeover. From new headshots by the wonderful Elizabeth Polo of Havana Photography that really showcase our personalities to the amazing new gallery, this new site definitely shows the elegance, sophistication and passion that our company is all about. And of course this would not be at all possible without the amazing talents of Pink Studios! Marii is our rockstar and we would be lost without her.

Valentine's Day Decor

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, one of the most romantic days of the year. And while many posts will be about Wedding Inspirations, we wanted to go in a different direction.

If you have no plans for Valentine's Day or want to do something different, why not throw a dinner party. Getting couples together is a great way to spend the day and a good excuse to design another holiday tablescape. A white linen with a red table runner makes a very simple yet elegant look. With some red flowers and candles, you have an impressive tablescape that your guests will love. When using flowers, keep in mind that prices increase during this time of year. We love using red carnations as an option. You can get nice full centerpieces without having to break the bank by using roses.

And of course, let's not forget about the little ones! Decorating a separate table for just the kids will make them feel extra special.

2013 Wedding Trend #1: Unique and Jaw Dropping Backdrops!!

It's here! Our choice for the #1 Wedding Trend for 2013!! Unique Backdrops and no we aren't talking about a place to go to take beautiful pictures with your groom and bridal party.

We have seen the monogram's all over the wedding scene and that isn't going away anytime soon, but the bride now is looking for more enhancements. Whether it is during an outdoor ceremony or the sweet heart table or even for the dessert bar, these backdrops will be making an impact and we can't wait to say "Wow"!

2013 Wedding Trend #2: Pantone Color of the Year Emerald

We know, you are probably thinking "How did the color of the year NOT be your #1 Trend". It was hard but I think tomorrow you will understand why lol. For now, we relish in the beauty of this gorgeous color, and Rachael's birthstone :) We are excited to be implementing this color into our events this year.

2013 Wedding Trend #3: The Color Purple

Pantone may have named Emerald as the color for 2013 but Purple is definitely giving it a run for it's money! We are seeing purple in many of our events this year and we know why. It's elegant  and royal and works well against many colors. Another thing we are seeing is the ombre look. It's beautiful, modern and simplistic and our brides are loving this trend. And we are too!

2013 Wedding Trend #4: The Rainbow Effect

If you saw our recent feature in 201 Bride Magazine, then you know that we love bold color schemes! So of course the Rainbow element had to be in our top 5. It can be as simple as your bridesmaids wearing black dresses with different colored bright shoes to an extravagant rainbow flower centerpiece. Whatever you decide, have fun with it.

2013 Pantone Color of the Year.....

Pantone announced that Emerald Green is the color of the year for 2013! We absolutely LOVE this color (and I know Rachael is even more partial to it since it's her birthstone lol). We cannot wait to incorporate this into our events next year. For now, enjoy a little inspiration from us!

Simple and Elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! We are sure by now you are finally done with all of your cleaning and all of your prep for tomorrow's delicious dinner that you are preparing. It's now time to pre set the table and you realize, you don't know what to do! Have no fear, AART Event Planning is here! 

There are so many beautifully done thanksgiving tablescapes. Unfortunately, many of us may not have the time to pull it off with all of the prep work we are doing, not to mention the many other things you take care of in a normal day. Here is a tablescape idea for you that is simple, easy to assemble and just as beautiful!

Down the center of your table, align all different size vases. Fill each vase with a different fruit, like pears, apples and even mini pumpkins. In between the vases, place candles, berries and pine cones. You now have an easy, gorgeous and colorful tablescape that will surely impress your guests!

AART Event Planning's Donation To Breast Cancer Awareness

We would first like to thank all of our new fans for helping us to donate to the Susan G Komen Foundation and to every one of our family and friends that shared our information to help us with this very dear to our heart cause. We were able to get 23 new likes for October and have decided to doubled our donation pledge amount to $1.00 per like. We are proud to donate any amount to help in the fight of breast cancer and do this in honor of our beautiful Grandmother we lost way too early in life. 

This year we donated $25.00 (ok so if you are REALLY counting that is $1.08695652 per new like :D ) and next year we hope we can double that amount! Thank you again for your love and support, we are grateful to you all.

AART Event Planning's Breast Cancer Awareness Donation

Due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, we were not able to update everyone on the donation pledge we are making for Breast Cancer Awareness. And we have not forgotten! We have been volunteering and working hard with our community in helping those victims of the hurricane, and will continue to do so. But now we are taking a moment to go back to that first cause that is near and dear to our hearts. As you remember, the donation amount was being determined by every new like our business page, AART Event Planning, received in the month of October. Because of the recent events, we are leaving it open until the end of the week, Sunday 11/11/2012. 

Please help us reach our goal of a $50.00 donation to Susan G Comen for the CURE. Right now we are asking one more favor from all our friends that have been so supportive of our drives...to share this so we can reach our goal! Only 20 more likes are needed. And THANK YOU to all of the new AART Fans we made over the last month. We welcome you and hope we can work with you all in some way in the future. Thank you!

Last year we would feature incredible vendors every Friday. We are happy to take a look back at a wonderful vendor today: Soundbar Entertainment! Enjoy!


It's Friday and in our industry that means show the love! So AART Event Planning is proud to introduce our new weekly blog on where we will be featuring an incredible vendor, colleague or friend that we love working with and give us inspiration! David and JT are a husband and wife team that are just amazing!! They really understand what the clients wants and needs are and will keep your guests on the dance floor all night long. They bring a unique experience to your event that your guests will talk about for years to come! 

Soundbar also has so many other things to offer their clients such as lighting, plasma video screens, photo booths and more! Hiring them as your entertainment will be a great investment and trust me, they will not disappoint! We are so excited to work with them again and look forward to the many ventures that we will have together in the future! AART Event Planning Look Back: Tips on Thursday DIY Projects

DIY projects are always a big hit. You can incorporate them into any event you are having! Today's look back is about DIY Projects. Enjoy!!

We LOVE DIY projects! They can put a beautiful, sentimental an creative touch to any event. But be careful. One can go a little overboard and end up spending more on unnecessary items. Our tip: go simple and think outside the box. 

Dressing up a bistro table for an outside event? Go to your local dollar store and get different size vases and floating candles and dress it up with some ribbon or pearls. Need a children's party favor that you want them to really get use out of? Create and print out a coloring book! 

Here are some pictures of some DIY projects that we have done. Just remember, when doing a DIY project, simple can be beautiful. And have fun!!

AART Event Planning is Giving Back!

We at AART Event Planning have been so blessed with the love and support that we receive that we want to do something to say Thank You! What better way than to give to a charity that means the world to us.

We lost our grandmother years ago to breast cancer and being that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, it seems fitting that our donation goes towards breast cancer awareness.

Here is how you can help: for every new "like" that we receive on facebook at our AART Event Planning page from now through October 31st, 2012 (we are currently at 819), we will make a $.50 donation. The more likes we get, the more money we will be able to donate!

So please tell your friends, share this blog, like our page and help us give back to an important charitable organization that means a lot to us and to many others.

AART Event Planning Loves MPW Media Group!

We can't believe that this month marks 3 years that we launched AART Event Planning as an official company! We can not thank our family and friends for all of their love and support, the wonderful vendors that we've built strong relationships with and our AMAZING clients! All month long we will be recapping some of our events, giving thanks to many wonderful people and having some surprises too!

Today we start with one of our favorite vendors to work with MPW Media Group.  We've had the pleasure working with them on several events and it is always a lot of fun! Their work is impeccable, truly breathtaking. Every time they play a recap video at the wedding, we are crying lol. Every picture they take is stunning. We want to renew our vows every year just to have them take the pictures! Here's a look at some of their work and you will quickly see what we are talking about.
